Wacom Introduces Wide-Format Pen Tablet
I'm a big fan of my fairly new tablet, for photo editing - and I know I've barely scratched the surface with it. I've got it mapped so it's the same aspect ratio
as my 20" monitor - which forces me to use the keyboard shortcuts (if I know them) or the trackball( if I don't) to access any of the controls (the toolbars live on the Powerbook's 17"). Of course, this also encourages me to learn the shortcuts.
Before I explored the options enough, I was only using about half the tablet - it was trying to spread itself across both monitors, and was spreading itself too thin to do to. The same would apply, albeit to a lesser extent, if you were using a single wide-screen monitor. If you are, however, now (he says finally getting to the point of this post), you can get a wide-screen version of the Wacom tablet.
Nice!
