It will be interesting to see how these numbers pan out over time. It's only relatively recently that we've seen digital SLRs that were affordable by us mere mortals, and we're only just starting to come into the second generation since then (with the likes of the Nikon D80).

Over time, I think the 'fast risers' will be the most interesting to watch.

Of course, popularity probably shouldn't be your first consideration when picking a new camera, but this page may be a good indication of how usable people find a particular model...
