The Truth About Manual Exposure vs Other Modes
"I shoot in the fully Manual mode once every blue moon."
You know, I'm glad someone else said it first - but I'm the same. To be honest, I didn't spent all that money on a good, and reasonably intelligent camera just to do all the work myself - I like auto-focus, I like the automatic modes that take a lot of the brain work out of it, and let me spend all of my (limited) brain power on finding the best photo.
The technological advancements are there for a reason - to help. If they're hindering in a particular situation, then get rid of them, by all means - but to keep them turned off all the time is just plain snobbery.
Technical advancements are good. Trust me, I'm a geek - I know these things.
