PCWorld.com - Sony Plans Digital SLR Launch:
Given this announcement it's hardly surprising. Sony have been heading towards the higher end of the pro-sumer market for a while now, with the likes of their DCS-F828. Now, with the technologies from Konica Minolta in their stable, they'll be able to come out of the gates at speed, and hit the DSLR market hard and well.
I'm not a particular fan of Sony - mostly because of their instance on using proprietary technology, like Sony Memory Sticks, but even if I don't like them as a company, I've got to respect them as a market player.
