The line between toy and tool is becoming more blurred every day as the world's digital electronics manufacturers continue to churn out dazzling new gadgets.

Twenty years ago a cell phone was housed in a small piece of luggage and it was referred to as a "bag phone". They were big, heavy, bulky and required a battery pack that not only didn't last very long but was huge as well.
