Recover lost photos from flash memory with PhotoRec - Download Squad:
I had this happen to me last year - a 1 gig memory card full of images - worse, images from someone's wedding. Suddenly, when I got home, it was blank.
I swore, I yelled, I panicked - in the end, I found and downloaded PhotoRescue Wizard, which saved both my bacon and my sanity.
PhotoRec looks like a very similar piece of software - may even be better. It's open source, (which I thoroughly approve of), multi-platform (also a good thing), and works on a wide variety of file systems (essential, in this day and age).
In short, I approve. It's downloaded, installed, and I hope I never have to use it...
