Print and Play your photos with Sharp

Okay; I admit, this isn't perfectly to do with actually taking photos, and it's more of a "gadget", but I still think it deserves a place here.

Sharp have created a fancy new little machine (which you can see above), which lets you both display photos on a HDTV via HDMI, and print them in high quality onto photopaper. Initially I was baffled as to exactly what the use of such a device would be, but then it began to make sense.

Imagine you'd just been on holiday with a big group of friends, snapped hundreads of photos between you, half of which were great, and the other half were full of you and your mates doing things you'd rather not remember. You get back to your house, whack the memory cards into the Sharp, and watch and laugh at all the pictures as they flick through on the screen. But here's the added thing; you can now print off a copy for one of your friends to take home if they so wish.

It is actually a really great idea, and with a starting price in japan of only $205, it's really not that bad of a price.
