New digital cameras are being released at a furious pace right now; probably in anticipation of the upcoming holiday season.
panasonic's latest offering is another marvel of engineering, and while it is not a full frame digital SLR, it is a full featured "four thirds" sensor design, without a reflex mirror.
What this means is that the camera is about half the size and weight of a conventional digital SLR.
When you combine the advanced technology of this 12.1 megapixel camera with its superb array of Leica inspired lenses you have a killer package that is ideal for people on the go and with minimum space to spare.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC G1 digital SLR will be available this November.
Take a camera with you whenever possible, and look around, you'll find a picture somewhere.
