Consumer satisfaction pulse takers J.D. Powers and Associates released the results of its digital camera study today and topping the digital SLR category was was Nikon's D Series of bytecams. On a 1000-point scale, Nikon's DSLRs earned a score of 822. Cameras were evaluated in four areas of satisfaction: picture quality, performance, operation, and appearance and styling. Models in the company's D line include the D200, D80, D40x (photo above) and D40. The Power survey was based on the responses of nearly 7000 consumers who purchased a digital camera within the last 12 months.
