The word "awesome" is overused these days to the point where its use basically means that something is considerably better than good rather than truly "awe inspiring."
But every now and then something comes along that deserves being referred to as, "awesome", because it possesses the necessary attributes as described in the original, classic definition of the word.
There's no doubt that the just released Nikon D3x Digital SLR is "awesome", and for those who can afford it, I'm sure that using it will be a blast with the bonus of pictures worthy of billboard size enlargement.
