After lots of hype in December, the Nikon D3x has finally been reviewed and tested with some serious depth by a certain Thom Hogan. After many complex tests that I don't really understand, he came to the conclusion that it is, most definitely, the camera with the best image quality on the market. However, such quality comes at a serious price, a massice $3000 step up from the D3, where the only real change is the sensor being upped from 12megapixels to 24megapixels!
Is it worth it? If you need the resolution it certainly is, but otherwise...not really.
