Reports emerged today of a new Sony digital SLR, the A700, expected to be released within weeks. News of the new camera apparently broke at a Web site operated by the company in the UK, but the Netpost was quickly taken down, which suggests the information was posted prematurely. No release date or pricing info was disclosed, but here are details gleaned by observers of the site before sony sacked it.
- Maximum resolution of 12.24-megapixels.
- Normal ISO of 3200, with capability to 6400.
- 3-inch, 921,000-pixel LCD display.
- CompactFlash and Memory Stick slots.
- 11-point autofocus system.
- Optical image stabilization.
- Sensor dust removal system.
- HDMI output.
