Software

There are digital picture frames and then there are PhotoVu frames. While the typical frame has a diagnonal measurement of eight inches or less, PhotoVu specializes in monster frames, frames 17 inches or more. So it shouldn't be surprising to learn that this week, the monster frame maker released software for its high-tech pic collars that can accommodate monster image files, like those produced by the 21.1 megapixel EOS-1Ds Mark III from Canon. In addition to adding the capability to handle large photo files, the new software will also support an optional 160 gigabyte hard drive and automatic rotation of images taken with cameras that store orientation data with their photos.
