For fans of macro photography who want great macro performance, as well as above average standard photos, from a digital camera that's small, the Panasonic DMC-FX40 may be the answer.
It looks like Panasonic did their homework with this feature laden little beauty.
For starters it has an always superior and reliable Leica lens coupled to a 12.1mp sensor. The lens provides 35mm equivalent coverage of 25-125mm which makes for a great landscape through portrait/short telephoto range.
Read about the rest of the Panasonic DMC-FX40's features here.
Take a camera with you whenever possible, and look around, you'll find a picture somewhere.
