Software
by John Mello on August 12, 2007

Apple last week released a new version of its iLife software suite,
which includes its photo organization software, iPhoto. Since introducing iPhoto, Apple's been careful to keep the application lightweight in the editing department, but with each new iteration of the program, the company adds more editing power. Among the new editing tools in the new iPhoto:
- A cropping tool with guides to help you follow the "rule of
thirds" when cropping a photo. - Controls for adjusting highlights and shadows in a photo.
- New noise reduction and sharpening tools.
- Ability to copy adjustments made in one photo and paste
them into another.
