Artists study the work of other artists, the great masters and the works of more recent artists. Budding musicians mimic the style of established musicians whom they admire.
So, as with any creative pursuit, photographers look to other photographers for inspiration.
For me it was always ansel adams
and that's why nearly all of my photos are taken outdoors, preferably in non-urban areas. It's too bad that I've only been able to achieve perhaps 1% of Adam's results, but then, most other devotees of his work haven't done much better.Anyway, I've found that checking out the work of fellow, talented amateurs, and pros that are not quite on the level of an Ansel Adams can provide inspiration that is a bit more realistically achievable in your own work.
Check out this blog and get some fresh ideas, or create derivatives of your own from these innovative pictures.
