InPhase to ship 300GB holographic drive - Engadget:
OK, so these are going to be insanely expensive to kick off - so much so, that I'm guessing you'll be better off to buy hard drives and enclosures, than to buy one of these drives and media.
It would definitely make me less nervous about my (better than most, but still woefully inadequate) backup system for my photos, if I had (and used!) one of these - but I just can't see my budget supporting it until these puppies come *right* down in price.
Perhaps, by the time they come out with the 1Tb version, the drives will be starting to get affordable.
