How to Convert Color Digital Images into Black and White Ones:

Darren shares a number of techniques for converting a colour photo to B&W. As with many things, there's a numbers of ways of going about this - some better for some circumstances than others.

Personally, I like to play with all of them, and learn how the results differ - then I can figure out which methods are better to use for different circumstances.
