As we all know, I'm a fan of digital. Not so much for the technology itself, but for the freedom it offers, for the pure cost benefits whether you're a professional or an enthusiastic hobbyist.

You can try more things, see the results instantly, experiment more freely.

Apparently, the same applies when shootinglinks movies.

How shooting digitally changes acting

"Now there's no film in the camera. You can shoot everything. So there's no rehearsal. Or perhaps it's all rehearsal. Either way, it's far more natural."

Shooting another take has an incremental cost of nothing. Leaving the cameras rolling during a rehearsal costs $0. Why not film it, they might get something absolutely perfect?

The same really applies to photography - why not press the button? It's not like it costs you anything...
