How fast is your Compact Flash Memory Card? | DSLRBlog:
chris links to Rob's report testing the speeds of various memory cards – interesting to see how differently the different brands and speed rating performed.
Especially shooting RAW, as I do most of the time these days, CF card speed is a major issue – I tend to shoot in short bursts, often taking 10-20 shots in quick succession – slower cards really limit what I can capture this way.
I'll be bookmarking this report, so I can refer to it for my next set of purchases…
