As Mathew Brady illustrated during the Civil War, photographs are a powerful way to capture history. That's true not only for the history of conflicts, but the history of achievement, too, as can be seen in a new photo exhibit posted at the TechRepublic Web site. The exhibit titled A Century of Helicopters combines historic images with illuminating text to tell the story of man's dogged quest to achieve vertical flight. It's a treat for both the history buff and the photo lover.
