If you love taking pictures of wild and varied scenery then the American National Parks are places you will want to investigate.
We have dozens of areas in The United States that have been set aside and preserved as National Monuments; and I don't mean the ones in Washington D.C., National Recreation Areas, National Preserves, and of course, The National Park System, all awaiting you with photographic opportunities galore.
You will find roads of all types in these areas, with conventional paved surfaces, and some that are best left to high clearance, 4 wheel drive vehicles.
Hiking trails for all ability levels are profuse and reward hardier souls with magnificent scenery not seen by most visitors.
The grand daddy of them all is Yellowstone National Park and if you can be there during August 18-24 you can participate in free digital photography workshops.
Take a camera with you whenever possible, and look around, you'll find a picture somewhere.

I think it is a great idea. How and where do we get more information on it.
