One of the great things about the Internet is the availability of an almost endless amount of free information.
Libraries are great for borrowing books and other media; but to tell the truth, doing research there is quite tedious and time consuming.
Of course searching the Internet can be time consuming too, but at least you can do it from home, and whenever you want. However it's always nice when someone else does the "donkey work" for you and I found a site that should be of interest to digital photography enthusiasts.
"Digital Camera Photography Tips" is offering free tutorials covering all aspects of digital photography.
This link takes you to additional tutorials and definitions used by digital photographers.
