I find insights like this into other photographer's workflows fascinating. If you're doing a lot of photography, you need to build some good habits - you want to make sure you don't miss vital steps (like taking backup copies of your photos), and make sure that you don't accidentally do things that will cause you to swear excessively (like formatting a card before you have the images off it).
The important thing to me, is to go through the process calmly and comfortably. You don't want to be rushed, because that's when you make mistakes. You want to be in an even sort of mood, so your mood doesn't skew your judgment. Most of all, make it so you have the best chance of getting the best results.
