Fill Your Frame - twice!

My rule of thumb is 'if in doubt, go closer' ('go' can mean 'zoom', by the way).


Getting (or zooming) closer to your subject creates a more intimate photo, brings out more detail, and makes it far easier to exclude distracting background details.


Of course, you can duplicate this sort of effect in your digital darkroomlinks, by cropping the photo, but make sure you've got plenty of pixels to spare!
