Dilbertcam II

Scott Adams has made many of us laugh with his Dilbert strip, and, no doubt, his Dilbertcam prompted a chuckle or two this weekend, but Scott's camera idea is no laughing matter for the thinkers at Future Image. In preparation for the 6Sight® Future of Imaging conference to be held November 8-9 at the Monterey Conference Center in Monterey, Calif., the predictive analysis firm has announced the release of a report titled "Location-Aware Images - Using Smart-Phone Capabilities To Automate Rich Metadata."

According to a statement from Future Image, the report focuses on mobile phones because right now, they're a natural for Tacking rich data to photos. "Phones know who you are, where you are, and, by accessing your calendar, what you are doing and who you are seeing," Future Image maintains.

The report's author, Senior Analyst for Consumer Imaging Paul Worthington, adds: "The average consumer wants their images to have information added automatically, rather than having to add it personally at a later time-or risk being unable to find them in years to come. Location-aware imaging will help people everywhere to find, share, print, and otherwise enjoy their pictures."
