No matter what task you're approaching it's always best to have a system, a list of priorities, so you are organized and eliminate mistakes.
This applies to digital photography as much as anything else and by following some simple standardized steps you can assure yourself of consistent results.
I found a system that takes you through the entire process, from getting your equipment together, to composing your shots, and finally, to preparing your image files for printing.
This link takes you to step one, getting started, and then it's on to step two, in camera organization, and finally, post processing procedures.
I took today's photo outside The Paris Casino and Hotel with my Kodak P880.
Take a camera with you whenever possible, and look around, you'll find a picture somewhere.
