Photography contests have been around almost as long as has photography itself.

Digital Photography has caused a huge resurgence of interest in the medium and the demand for digital photographs grows daily.

Why not enter some of your best shots in one of the many photo contests that are constantly in progress and see if you can walk away with the blue ribbon?

Here's a contest, with great prizes, from Microsoft that's being held in conjunction with their new "Vista" operating system.

This is your chance to fulfill the dream of having your photo published in "National Geographic Magazine".

If you have a kid he or she is the cutest one in the world right? OK, then enter this "Cute Kids" contest and see if the judges agree.

Have fun and good luck!

Today's picture is nothing special, just an example my fascination with late afternoon sun and the long shadows it produces.

I had some time to kill yesterday while waiting for my wife so I took a walk with my trusty "pocket camera," my Pentax RS430, and took advantage of the opportunity to experiment a bit.

That's the beauty of digital cameras, no print, no pay, but you still get to see the results.
