Dad of digcam in hall of fame

There's a hall of fame for just about everything these days-including consumer electronics. And this week, among the 11 new members of the hall will be someone we should all pay homage to: Steve Sasson, the Kodak researcher who invented the digital camera (see photo above). At eight pounds and about the size of a toaster-although not as good looking-the device would provide the launching pad for the bytecams we know and love today. By the way, Sasson's camera could capture only black-and-white images at a resolution of 10K pixels, or a hundredth of a megapixel, and stored them on cassette tape.
