Digital photos have lots of advantages over film. For example, they can be turned into pseudo-artwork with the right editing program and some specialized plug-ins. One of my favorite places for those kinds of filters is a Web site in the United Kingdom called The Digital Artshop. The filters are reasonably priced at £8-that's a little over US$16. (If you're worried about currency fluctuations, you can type "8 GBP in USD," into Google for conversion into the latest exchange rates.) The filters work with major photo editing programs like Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro and PhotoImpact and they produce very good results.
