It was difficult for even the most jaded digital camera watchers to keep their jaws from dropping today at IFA 2007 in Berlin when Casio revealed a prototype of a digital still camera that can capture 60 frames a second with each at a resolution of six megapixels.

You can also shoot 640 x 480 video at 300 frame per second. (Camcorder video is 30 frames per second.) What that means is you can play back the video at super Slow Motion-a great feature for analyzing the mechanics of something like a golf swing.
Another intriguing feature of the camera is its "Pre-shot Burst Mode." When it's activated, you can depress the camera's shutter release half-way and the unit will continuously shoot a scene and store the shots in a buffer until you fully depress the shutter button.
Casio is mum about when the camera will make it to the shelves or what it will cost when it does, but you can bet that with the cat now out of the bag, the clamor by shutterbugs to release the product will be deafening.
