Canon may have let its new Powershot A650 IS 12-megapixel camera out of the barn too early. Pictureline.com is reporting that the camera maker has issued a service notice concerning the unit, which was announced on August 20.
"Canon recently discovered a problem with early production models of the PowerShot A650 IS digital camera in which a light leak on images taken with the camera could occur at an unacceptable level when shooting with the Vari-Angle LCD monitor open under sunny skies, where light shines on the back of the camera," Pictureline reported.
"Canon has identified the countermeasures necessary to resolve the problem, and has made the required corrections," it continued. "They expect to begin shipments of the corrected PowerShot A650 IS digital camera at the end of October."
According to Pictureline, Canon will disclose shortly at its Web site procedures for owners of the camera for getting the problem fixed.

I am experiencing a problem with my Cannon 1s is. When trying to take a picture, the image is wavy and blurry. I cannot get it to focus at all. What could be the reason? Thank You. LK
