Strobist: Adding (and Synching) a Second Strobe:
If, like me, you're looking for ways to improve your lighting techniques, you really should be reading Strobist. Not that I'm trying to tell you to not read me as well (heaven forbid, loyal reader!), but if you're looking for lighting info, Strobist is the place to go.
Not only that, but they're aware that we're not all made of money, so they work to help us set things up on a budget.
This article's about adding, and synchronizing a second strobe unit, with a total cost (of you have a second flash already) of about $10. Oh, and your second flash can be a cheapy, no need to go buy a brand new one.
Also well worth the read is The Starving Student Off-Camera Light Kit. How to put together, for about $160, a decent off-camera lighting kit that's portable, and very very functional.
Absolutely loving
it.
