ACDSee 8 announced!
Impressive new features in ACDSee include the Quick Search bar, the Photo Repair Tool, full IPTC metadata support, photo captioning and the ability to create VCD (Video Compact Disc) slide shows that take the photo viewing experience from the computer to the living room TV.
I can't remember what version it was, but I was sing ACDSee for managing and viewing my digital images years ago - pre-digital-camera days, there wasn't anywhere like the plethora of imagery we now have at our google-tips, but still - I had a few hundred meg of images I'd collected over the years - and ACDSee was the best on the market at the time - and, if I recall, quite reasonably priced too.
In the intervening years, I shifted away from the windows world - first, into the Linux side of things, then to the world of Apple - so I haven't seen a recent ACDsee. I might have to download one onto the gaming box, and give it a go... just for old time's sake.
