The fanfair that went out over the internet as Cannon released it's brand new high end DSLR, the 5D MkII, has begun to die down now, and some issues are creeping out of the woodwork. Firstly there is the "black dot" issue, where a big patch of black pixels appears next to any bright light source; obviously not very good with shots that might need to be used for advertizing or the like!
Secondly there is vertical banding when using sRAW1 mode, but this can be overcome by just using a different shooting mode. Cannon has expressed that it is completely aware of both of these issues but has not yet issued any way to fix them!
Step it up Cannon!
