10 Things You Should Know About The Nikon D70

"... ultimately, we think it was the excellent handling and straightforward operation of the D70 that sold it. To hold and shoot one is to want one. So don't expect any mystery sequences or secret trapdoors on this camera. A considerable number of settings, though, are made via menus, and a good number of these provide useful little tweaks."

Well, I feel validated in my purchasing decision.

In the last year or so, I've explored the menu options in my D70 fairly thoroughly - but I still got a couple of good tips from this article. Well worth the read if you're a D70 user.
